gruskek replied to your post: If the rest of my Japanese homework is like this…

cheering you on!

Thanks but I have literally given up.

As in I have left this too late and I don’t have time to translate the rest to answer any more questions so I am answering the ones I can and leaving the rest.

I am probably gonna lose marks.

The thing is I didn’t even find out about this homework until last night really and I had a party to go to.

The problem is I thought the other workbook stuff I printed off was the homework…it was not.

Still getting used to being a Uni student and it shows.

I will do better next week.

gruskek replied to your post: Is Dail H from DC Comics any good? I mean I only…

I heard people saying it’s good but I have no clue what it actually is about xD

I’ve heard practically nothing?

Best I can disconcern from the covers is it’s horroresque.

Though the best things DC Comics seem to be doing is anything where they are currently sprinkling horror into atm.

Not sure why?

Sigh I need to pick up the Wonder Woman and Batwoman trades at some point.

gruskek replied to your post: Sorry I haven’t been very active on tumblr

*hugs* Maybe you’re overtired? Don’t hesitate to go to the doctor if you think it’s serious, though.

I don’t know.

I’ve just felt really weak, tired and sore. =S

On the plus side the headache I had yesterday seems to be gone.

I was out with the family today so naturally I felt ill.

I might try to eat anyway and hope it goes as well as it has so far today.

gruskek replied to your post: For real though I want a Black Widow movie

From what I heard Wondy tends to get some questionable writing as they’re constantly trying to update her instead of embrace her tradition, but there some good (especially older) comics with her out there. Can’t help you with suggestions, though xD

Well what I can gather from what I’ve seen is they try to make her sort of this vehicle for women/feminist issues rather than a character. Which doesn’t really work. She just has this forced like “gender issue dialogue” which doesn’t feel natural or normal. Example the Wonder Woman animated movie (2009). While I like the action scenes in that movie some of the dialogue is just like: FEMINISM. However it’s just really awkward like “Humans don’t talk like this oh my GOD stop.”

Though she works better in say Batman/Superman: Apocalypse. She feels like she has more of a character and isn’t spouting some stupid “GENDER ISSUES” bullshit.

When I say bullshit, it’s fine to use a character to address male privilege or gender issues or feminism or whatever but it has to be natural for the story not forced in because FEMINIST ICON. Seriously I feel like too many people try to make her into this feminist icon rather than a character. She’d be a better feminist icon if she actually you know, HAD A HUMAN CHARACTER.

I like Wonder Woman: Blood though.

I need to read more comics, sorry I keep referencing animation but yeah, more familiar with that.
